Believe it or not many of our traditional brides are giving up their traditional weddings to "GO GREEN".

You can do this by:
* Finding locally grown flowers through your local florist to create your bouquets, boutonnieres and center pieces.

* Using recycled paper for your invitations and save the dates is another great way to help the environment.

* Re-purposing old items to become centerpieces. Find these items through your home or go to your local salvation army. Re-paint and re-use. Allow your guest to take them home at the end of the night for a great display in the home.

These are just a few things that you can do to not only save money but save the environment.

There is no way to completely go 100% green at your wedding but there a couple of other small things you can do. So get started!

Do you suffer from joint pain, fatigue, fever for no obvious reason? A skin rash? Hair loss? General discomfort?

A few years ago, those were the symptoms I suffered from for months until I was finally diagnosed with Systemic lupus erythematosis, an auto immune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs. The Lupus Foundation of America estimates that 1.5 million Americans, and at least five million people worldwide, have a form of lupus.

Because of a new experimental drug, I have been in remission for one year. But the money and research that went into the development of the new drug, and allowed me to lead a normal life free from pain, was funded due to the efforts of people like you. The drugs developed for my lupus, and many other autoimmune diseases, depends on fundraising.

one half hour session and you will receive all the images taken edited

So are you have a hard time putting together a timeline? Do you not know where to start? Here is a little help to move you in the right direction:

12 Months Before
* Announce your engagement to family and friends
* Sign up for a wedding website (a service that you offer to you) which will help keep everyone informed on the details of your special day
* Choose a wedding date
* Figure out your budget
* Choose and reserve a location for the ceremony and reception
* Begin a rough guest list so that you can begin collecting current address information
* Decide on who you'd like to have as your attendants, including your maid of honor and best man
* Purchase a wedding planning book/journal, or a simple calendar to keep track of important dates and appointments (fittings, showers, etc.)
* Begin shopping for your wedding gown

6 to 9 Months Before
* Research and choose one or more bridal gift registry
* Begin shopping for bridesmaids dresses
* Find an officiant who will perform your ceremony
* Choose and book your DJ/musician, photographer, caterer and florist

4 to 6 Months Before
* Select and purchase wedding favors

Wedding Wednesday...Flowers are Important!

The bridal bouquet is just one of the symbols of purity and fertility that the bride carries with herself on her wedding day. It seems recently that the traditional meaning was been taken for granted, most brides still bring one to the altar with them. So hear are some popular flowers you can find seasonal for your specials day.

Spring wedding flowers are light and fresh and clean. Great examples include the following:
Alliums, Anenomes, Bluebells, Roses, Columbines, Cow Parsley, Eucaluyptus, Freesia, Hyacinths, Iris, Ivy, Snowdrops, Snowflakes, Sweet Peas, Tulips and Violets.

Summer flowers tend to be warmer and deeper in color. In the summer time the following types of flowers are in season:
Amaryllis, Anemone, Camellias, Catkins, Orchid, Dogwoods, Eucalyptus, Fruiting Ivy, Heather, Pussy Willow, Rosehips, Rosemary and Twisted Willow.

So you just got engaged to the man of your dreams, so what's next?

The DRESS...

There so many options when it comes to choosing your wedding dress. Some of you may choose your mother’s wedding dress or something that is new and all about you. Some of you may even elect to have their wedding dress designed for them. While we all know that the traditional color of the wedding dress is white, wedding dresses in this era range in color from stark white to black.

So whether you are planning a beach wedding at sunset or a Sunday morning church wedding with a 10 foot train, choosing your wedding dress is one of the most important factor of your special day.

So here are a couple things to help you on your journey:

1. Give yourself ample time to find the perfect dress. The rule of thumb to order your gown is about six months prior to your wedding date. So you really should start looking nine months prior.

2. Before you head out the door sit and take a few moments and think about what style you want. Always have a budget in mind. All great bridal consultants will ask you first thing so being prepared is key.

3. Finally being comfortable. On your wedding day you want to look beautiful but you also want to be comfortable. If you don't have the right fit it will be hard to dance and laugh (not to mention posing for all those pictures).

Ultimate Cake Off

So I think just about every photographer has their own favorite subject or area that they enjoy photographing in. I love photographing weddings and people but I also love photographing concerts.
